1. The "Local-First" Commitment
Axtio is built on the principle that your data belongs to you. On the **Free (Local) tier**, your data never leaves your device. We use IndexedDB to store your boards, projects, and cards locally in your browser. We do not have access to this data, and we do not track your usage of the application.
2. Data Collection in Cloud Mode
If you choose to upgrade to **Axtio Pro**, we collect and store the following information to provide sync and cloud features:
- Account Information: Your email address (via Google or Magic Link) to manage your subscription and sync.
- Application Data: Your boards, projects, and cards are stored in an encrypted Postgres database (Neon) to allow multi-device sync.
- Payment Data: Handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
3. Cookies and Tracking
We use minimal cookies for authentication purposes only. In Cloud Mode, we use PostHog for basic telemetry (e.g., "card created") to improve the product. We never sell your data to third parties.
4. Data Portability
We believe in data freedom. You can export your entire board to JSON at any time, regardless of your subscription status. If you cancel your Pro subscription, your data remains accessible and exportable.
