How to Plan Your Week in Ten Minutes
Weekly planning shouldn't require a retreat. A short, honest scan of your commitments beats an elaborate ritual you'll abandon by February.
Start by seeing everything
Good weekly planning begins with a complete, honest picture of your commitments. If that picture is scattered across apps, you'll spend the whole ten minutes assembling it. A single board where every project is a row lets you take it in at once — the planning starts from clarity, not archaeology.
Pick three outcomes, not thirty tasks
Don't plan a hundred tasks; choose a handful of outcomes that would make the week a success. Everything else is support. Naming three real outcomes forces prioritization and gives the week a spine, so daily chaos doesn't erase the point.
Spot the stalls
Scan for projects that have gone quiet and follow-ups that are aging. In Axtio, a cold row or an old card in Other jumps out visually. Deciding what to un-stall this week is often more valuable than deciding what to start.
Protect the time
Finish by putting your three outcomes on the calendar as real blocks. A plan without protected time is a wish. Ten minutes, three outcomes, blocked in — that's a week with a fighting chance.
